Does the Seller Get a Copy of the Buyer's Appraisal?

--- No. Not unless the buyer has the mind to share it.  As long as the appraisal comes in at or above the purchase price, the borrower does not need to tell the seller anything about the appraisal. The only time the buyer needs to disclose the appraisal is if the appraisal does not support the purchase price. Generally, appraisers are unable to release any information about the appraisal, per federal guidelines, to anyone other than the person or entity who ordered it. Even with a refinance loan, appraisers cannot provide the report, value, or anything else to the borrower, even though it is regarding their personal residence. The key thing that matters is who paid for it. JL
